...with the emphasis on young. Most of the suggested experiments for science classes are aimed at the junior high school level of learning. This book fills a real need at this age level and the author, an elementary school teacher, writes with authority and a fine sense of organization about simple, inexpensively produced demonstrations suitable for the ordinary classroom. Each experiment is titled, the key words of the experiment (such as ""sound wave"") are listed under the title and clearly explained in a glossary, the necessary equipment is pictured and the directions for conducting the experiment follow in short, simple sentences. The text is addressed to the student user, but it is also a lnd for practice teachers as well as their more experienced colleagues.
