Definitely nice, and fairly solid story of Jenny who returns from France at the outbreak of the war with her helpless mother and two French stepbrothers. Reliable, resourceful, Jenny has all sorts of problems to meet in a small Maryland town. There's interference on the part of a managerial neighbor; there are the attentions of Neal, a radical, towards whom she is reluctantly attracted; There's worry over money; there's anxiety over her stepfather, missing after the armistice. Louis, young MD, stands back of her with consistent support, and -- though Neal frees her stepfather from a prison camp, she still chooses Louis. Homey tale. Rentals and P Ls.
