AGENT EXTRAORDINARY

Dutton's is set for an all-out in their adding Spencer Bayne to their l, raising the price, and pulling Van Kill and his exploits extraordinary out of the thrill, or mart limited. This, for me, is the best of the Van Kill very special species, with all the intricate ingenuity and less of the erudite trim. He moves into international bigtime as he is sent over to Syria to impersonate an English archaeologist, King, and to find out on what King had been working prior to his violent removal. With nine times and as many languages, Van Kill and Yanni Mavromichall outwit and outrun two German penetrators, and a Syrian Mufti turncoat. On our side is Vicky, a young English widow, who marries the Mufti to make him buy British -- and falls. International intrigue, de luxe.
