However, this normal process is often complicated by career crises and tensions, and the author brings all his heavy artillery to bear on the need to recognize that failure in business is not necessarily due to inner deterioration, but many times to forces beyond control. There are chapters which discuss techniques, the climacteric, impotence, the nature of female sexuality, etc. and the concluding chapter comes on strong for monogamy which is nice. On the whole the approach is upbeat, reassuring, but the treatment is often amorphous, crowded, with a preponderance of quotes from Freud, Kinsey, many others, and a doubtful statement or two (the ""lack"" of visual stimulation for female arousal is a controversial matter). Oh yes, there is also a spellbinding anecdote on the purported practices of Ali Khan. Interesting, readable, if diffuse and no doubt commercially potent.
