THE KING OF PROXY STREET

A modern parable, a fantasy, illuminating the quest for faith in two men. One of them is an author who has come back to spend the last year the doctors allow him in writing his last novel. The other, a little man, buffeted by fate, seeking something in which to believe. The novelist uses his early career as a starter for his novel, and then, through a sequence of coincidences, finds that step by step, his ""subject"" is living out the destiny the book is building for him. Strange interplay of relationship, which brings to each belief in some controlling power. Adequate, but should have more ease and lightness of touch. An interesting idea and an original one.
