KIRKUS REVIEW

Tersely told and readable, the life story of William Henry Harrison, the man who snapped the spine of the last major Indian rebellion under Tecumseh, at Tippecanoe, is ably chronicled in a biography which follows him from childhood, through the rigors of military campaigns to his final battle for the Presidency. ""Tippecanoe"" the military battle, and the role it played as a campaign slogan in the battle for the presidency are clearly placed in history. A worthwhile biography of our ninth President and an introduction to the first of the no-holds-barred presidential campaigns.
