KIRKUS REVIEW

A story of the youth and boyhood of Andrew Jackson from the age of 12, a year before he fought the Redcoats and went to Camden prison, up to the age of 24, when he was a young frontier lawyer, married and already making a name for himself. Well written, with a feeling for the Tennessee countryside and the people, and Andy comes through a very real person.
