RELATIVE TO DEATH

Ten million dollars is a lot to hang around the neck of a nine year old girl--- it's more like trouble and she's had plenty of that -- her father committed suicide, her mother died, and now she's with an aunt and her new stepfather who doesn't last any longer-- he's killed. And just what will happen to her? Relative to Death is a kissing cousin of Stanton Forbes' earlier books which deal with vulnerable women and children. She handles this kind of unpleasantness so pleasantly, it's hard not to be a soft touch. Crime Club.
