Most of this takes place on the island of St. Martin which everybody finds a nice place to visit except Sylvia Bennett -- she's been pretty miserable to begin with and she arrives there just after another woman has been killed to spot the pseudonymous identity of a convicted murderer of many years ago. This, a little flossy, a little glossy, is still a lot firmer than anything Stanton Forbes has done in some time if you don't think about it too much. You won't.
