.... turning up, and disappearing, seems to be more than a funeral parlor trick which is just where this begins when young Bill Beresford is hired to dust and answer the phone in Greeley How's Funeral Home. But then Old Miss Evangeline, cremated the day before, is still in the drawer; Thea, the Sheriff's wife, a mantrap, disappears; and Mr. Howe, who drinks to begin with, ends having overindulged in embalming fluid. Bill, however, is one of Stanton Forbes' likable youngsters and he takes the chill off the proceedings. All of it is family-styled even though it takes place in another kind of home.
