STARS AND MEN

A well done, extremely readable, filled with odd bits, history of astronomy. How time, days, seasons, the sun, moon, eclipses, planets, comets, calendar, constellations, stars, navigation, geography, astrology and cosmology got their start, how they developed and what their latest applications are. There are two nice limericks and the apt quotations are strewn lavishly about. Decidedly not too technical for average consumption, covers an amazing amount of territory and offers a grand time for anyone with a spark of curiosity and interest.
