The publishers have used as a sub-title to this volume; The Story of Life as Recorded in the Bible. The book is composed of selected passages of scripture presented in attractive typography and format. The language of the King James version is used without the traditional divisions into chapter and verse. Many would, no doubt, choose other selections, but the choices made by the editors do illuminate their central thesis (and the Bible's) that life, not death, is the supreme reality. There is no sectarian sectarian slant observable in the selections. This would make an excellent gift book.
