KIRKUS REVIEW

Murder plotted and on its way, Web Lindley, Pennsylvania lawyer, awaits the death of his ex-wife, as revenge for her killing of her second husband, his wealthy, war hero brother, and as protection for their daughter. But he kills instead their old doctor, is retained to defend the dead man's stepdaughter when she is tried for the murder. Unsuccessful in getting her acquitted, he confesses, but with another killing is able to accuse and prove the real killer's guilt. Neat table turning, well sustained.
