KIRKUS REVIEW

One of the more unreasonable reveries, which forecasts the world of 1958 and backtraces over the steps by which Alexis Ivanovich Bodine, Brooklyn born, and a nerveless character, killed Stalin. In what adds up to some brash biography, this follows him through his long indoctrination and induction in the Party, his seduction of many willing women and disposal of several suspicious agents, his crossing to Russia where he wins the confidence of the one man who can lead him to Stalin, and the accomplishment of his objective and successful getaway.... The wishful thought, but not the ideal fulfillment.
