KIRKUS REVIEW

A slight, slightly unbenevolent, if narrowly satisfying little tale about Timmy's green ball, which he shares with everyone except Sara Bianco who won't let anyone touch her magic set. Then the ball gets lost in the woods, only to turn up a year later at the block-party booth of ""gypsy"" fortune teller Sara--who is still refusing to share her magic set. ""I found the ball! It's mine and nobody touches it but me,"" screams Sara when Timmy claims prior ownership of her ""crystal ball."" But Timmy and friend Peggy fool Sara with their own gypsy switch, arranging a distraction and then substituting a green-painted grapefruit for the disputed toy. Fair enough, but a little short on charity. . . and substance.
