Kroll sends a stumblebum Santa down the Sylvesters' chimney to knock over the Christmas tree, collapse the sofa, bump into the chandelier, knock over the umbrella stand, trip on the stairs. . . . By this time the dopey-looking little elf who quietly patches up behind Santa has been identified, and a polar bear has emerged from Santa's bag to lead him on a further blundering course through the house. But this Santa falls flat indeed; instead of a bag of tricks he comes crashing through this trip lugging a lead balloon.
