KIRKUS REVIEW

Instead of a Trojan horse it's a Tarvishian cat, with Perry hidden inside to frighten off the rival Boldoronians; But Perry, a boy transported from earth to help in the space cats' war, is captured by the Boldoronians; and there is much roaring and rushing about before he ends up back in his room--with his cat Alexander beside him, though Alex could have stayed on as king of Tarvish. Kroll's short, slapdash fantasy is as pointless and undemanding as a TV cartoon--which might be an attraction for viewers reluctant to make the switch to print. And Henstra's sinister Boldoronian cats add a touch of surrealistic humor.
