IN THE SECOND YEAR

Not part of the panel in which Company Parade and Love in Winter created the character of Hervey Russell. But a completely new type of book, the outgrowth of her vast indignation against the world's madness (remember her autobiographical book, No Time Like the Present). Fiction, written with passionate earnestness, and picturing an England ridden by circumstances and characters paralleling the Hitler regime in Germany. One senses too much of the pamphleteer -- but Storm Jameson can write.
