KIRKUS REVIEW

A Western in which a sheriff famed for his ability to get his man- particularly if that man is a member of the Imes' gang -- sets out to clean up Railtown, the rowdy, lawless ""suburb"" of Sandy, Idaho. For Railtown was now the hangout of the gang- and the brains behind it still survived. Miles Kent was ruthless- cruel when he had to be- but he didn't kill for the sake of killing. Nonetheless it is a bloody battle to the death, with a full quota of violence before Railtown is subdued and merged with Sandy, and good men and true have a chance to build a future. There's romance- extramarital and legitimate, as well.
