Sequel to The Road We Are Traveling, and second in this new series for the man on the street. Planned to ""sharpen our concept of freedom from want"", and to that end he analyzes post-war goals, and evaluates them in terms of available statistics. Those statistics are shocking -- and cry for change, as he discusses two main points, -- full employment and the national minimum (of food, shelter, health, clothing, education). He shows how the needs, the facilities and the objectives interlock, without sacrifice of free enterprise. A good addition to an excellent small series.
