THE YOUNG MEN AND THE OLD

A small collection of verse, lyrics conveying everyman's (and the poet's) reactions to war, death, destruction, loss. The lyrics are chiefly distinguished by their extreme simplicity and brevity of expression. It's not great poetry, not even good poetry, but there's a fair amount of sincerely felt emotion as Cloete writes of sorrow and courage hand in hand.
