WINE JOURNEYS

A testimonial to the ""fine glory of wine gathering as a very precious"" if lost art, this is a record of a rather private pursuit which few share today. Here, in a cliche- cluttered prose, are memoirs of Olivier's ""pilgrimages"" in search of ""wine glory and loveliness""- through the years and ranging across France, England, Italy and the Rhineland, the friends he met, the collectors' items attained. The memoirs, per se, in their undisguised sentimentality, overfond indulgence can only be irritating save to a few devotees. Offers no competition to the classic G.B. Stern Bouquet.
