An unusually attractive, imaginatively varied collection of projects. There are several scenic handbags, a tennis racket cover with Matisse cut-out shapes, and an appealing, durable-looking hobbyhorse, along with the traditional pin cushions and pillows. Designed for #5 canvas, they are especially suitable for children (elementary stitches), those with imperfect vision (actual-size diagrams), and the impatient--quickpoint goes quickly. One drawback: some of the diagrams provide traceable shapes and recommended colors but not the precise number of stitches, which means beginners may need some assistance. Overall, though, a likable, distinctive mesh.
