KIRKUS REVIEW

A little Christmas story and a lesson in internationalism. Two Dutch refugee children in an American home help heal the breach between neighbors, enemies in adult life, both cherishing memories of childhood friendship. Pleasantly sentimental, and tuned to the spirit of Christmas. One of these alternates to a card.
