KIRKUS REVIEW

Life on Applie Farm is entirely horse-centered and 8 year old Robin is a dyed in the wool ""horse-o-phile"". Her first chance to own a dream pony is thwarted and Robin is forced to settle for Snooks, an unschooled four year old. She learns to walk and canter but the inexperience of pony and rider show up badly when Robin is thrown in her first Pony Club show. After this, Robin's neglect of Snooks almost causes the animal's death but actually forces Robin to realize how precious her pony is. A year of practice on the trails ends in victory at the famous Devon Horse Show.
