KIRKUS REVIEW

"Pumpkin," "Yon little devil": it seems as if Hannah's mommy calls her by anything but her real name, each pictured in an arresting, childlike style representing Hannah's imagination. She finally protests: "I'm not a mouse, I'm Hannah." Fortunately, Mommy is ready to agree. Plenty of preschoolers will be pleased with this on-target evocation of a common concern of small children.
