Prefaces and commentaries by numerous contributors provide the running text for the use of extracts from Ben-Gurion's speeches and writings, and add up to a history of his life in Israel. While the text is an interesting reminder--without much penetration of comment--the photographs are in themselves a potent tribute to the man who in the thoughts of many is Israel today.
