KIRKUS REVIEW

In each small book, three ministories alternate with enumerated pet care tips alerting owners to the need for paper training, shots, collars, etc. In a typical sketch, Katy's kitty grows into a tree climbing cat and the firemen have to come and bring her down. In another, Pete's new pup arrives, so small he almost gets lost in the rug pile, disappears between the sofa pillows, and drowns in his water bowl--but to Pete he is just the right size to love forever. These books are obviously designed to be just the right size for new or would-be pet owners (those with $5.00 left over from the shots and collars) to own and carry around--but they certainly won't be loved forever.
