I HAVE TOUCHED THE EARTH

Here's a book that starts out as a sensitively written rather ephemeral story of a small town girl, dominated by her father, and finding her outlet in her friendship with another girl and that winds up morbidly psychological, in the Faulkner vein. A tragic story of frustration, of emotional disintegration. Not an easy book to place, from the sale point of view, as the market is limited.
