DESTINY'S MAN

The author of Gabriel Over the White House tells the story of a Messianic deliverer of the union of Central European states, known as Danubia, suffers the fate of his prototype and is killed. For the thoughtful reader who likes to indulge in prophetic speculation; for those who can take political and sociological settings in their stride. Good central character, skilful avoidance of the usual priggishness in such characterizations, plausible enough plot. Not so popular as earlier book.
