KIRKUS REVIEW

Good melodrama and interesting reading. A story of the Scottish Highlands, with many of the familiar props, but a well-sustained plot and well developed climaxes. The story deals with a sombre, unrelenting man, heir to an estate which he determines to restore to its original form, and to keep alive his name and traditions, by fair means and foul.
