KNOWING THE WEATHER

A persuasive book for amateurs in this business of weather knowledge. It explains and interprets the fundamentals, describes the tools to be used, the villains and the heroes of the air, clouds, wind, temperatures, rain, storms, snow, fog, hurricanes; the use of maps, weather lore, climate charts, and so on. He makes his subject absorbing reading, completely unpedantic in approach. The material has been brought np to date, and in an age when flying is fast becoming all important, such knowledge is of increasing value. Bibliography and glossary.
