THE NEW SUN

To some students of modern art this book -- as a record in pictures -- will have special significance. To my unaccustomed eye, the continuity of cartoons, with their accompanying captions. are important because of content rather than artistic impact, for here is a record of nostalgic glimpses of a boyhood in Japan, of a doctor father who lived for the people, of an education which did not ""take"", of a dedication to the cause of release from tyranny, from fascistic rule-and the price he paid, in jail, in torture of himself and his beloved wife. Now in America -- he makes this contribution to truth.
