THE FIRST FLYING BOOK

By

Publisher: Franklin Watts

Just what it says -- a ""first flying book"" even to the extent of using pictures instead of words now and then through the text. This, I feel, is a weakness in the book, as it breaks the ""eye span"" and the rhythm of the text. Viewed as a picture dictionary -- its clear out pictures and diagrams are excellent. The reading matter is done in the form of a story about ""weeny"" and his pilot friends, and all sorts of things that small boys want to know about planes are here. I can think of any number of seven year olds who will love it.
