Here is a collection of distinguished short stories for the young student of literature and for the general reader. Although the stories were chosen to illustrate points of story technique --point of view, authority, dramatic compression, dimension, tonal unity, symbolism, etc., the young person even if unable to cope with the academic accent, should enjoy the selection.
