Ecology, the study of interdependence in nature, is the subject of this informative and well organized text. The author takes his reader on a tour of marsh land, prairies, deserts, beneath the soil, under water, to the clouds, into forests and wherever the cycle of life is being enacted. He vividly demonstrates how each phenomenon is related to other phenomena which together form an efficient life pattern. Essentially an account of spontaneous conservation and plea for greater care on the part of man to protect his resources.
