KIRKUS REVIEW

When Mark Ritchie--a Conservative MP suspected of spying for the Russians--flees to Beirut, Pat Cadwall of MI5 is on the scene. Assorted corpses and omnipresent KGB executioners clutter up the case (Operation Barracuda). Worse yet, Cadwall falls for Ritchie's spunky wife Chris and begins to experience the usual crise de conscience. Left-footed is more like it. . . by the author of Westminster One (p. 264).
