THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

Once again the attempt is made to show that the ten commandments are timeless, and that it is just an important to live by them today as it was in the time of Moses. The Rev. Dr. Terence J. Finlay, the Rector of St. Bartholomew's Church (Episcopal) in New York City, shows that the human situation hasn't changed much and that man's disobedience toward God is just as likely to cause this civilization to collapse as have fourteen other civilizations which have preceded it in history. Dr. Finlay points out in his exposition of each commandment the specific ways in which this generation chooses to rebel and misbehave, and none could take exception to his catalogue of old sins in modern dress or modern sins unmarked as behavior traits of the same old Adam in exodus from the Garden of Eden. But, somehow there is lacking a true sonne of urgency, a glimpse of the grandeur glory of God in the light of which a man must feel both condemned, -- and saved. Somewhere, and often, we have heard it all before.
