KIRKUS REVIEW

...overtakes Barbie Woods when her astronaut father becomes the first man to land on the moon. With fame comes opportunity for Barbie as an actress, the answer to her dreams. Friends and family whisper that she is being used, but Barbie knows better, until the day she finds out the Awful Truth: she has no talent. Barbie gives up her big chance and opts to be herself, with a few wise words to other teenagers. Timely situation, adequate script, routine performance.
