KIRKUS REVIEW

Webster Daniels, sort of a Hood Robin, challenges, again and again, one Edward Allenby who does very well leading susceptible suburban matrons from black masses to blackmail. Smith, a jaunty entertainer in The Thief Who Came to Dinner, hasn't extended himself this time -- it's a one-shot scenario and as for Old Nick, his tail seems to have been cropped.
