A timely biography of Arthur Korn, first to transmit pictures by wireless. Touching upon the early life of the inventor in Silesia, the biography follows his early schooling, studies at the University of Leipzig and other European institutions, under the great scientists who had an influence upon him, his travels all over Europe and America and the progress of his work. Of particular interest to the young reader, however, will be the explanation of his method for transferring light impressions ""through the air"" using at first his knowledge of the strange element, selenium, and other scientists' experiments with gas tubes. This book should be of great interest to all who are baffled by the television ""phenonenom"" and for young people planning to work in this medium.
