KIRKUS REVIEW

The Unpossessed established a Slesinger market. These short stories should prove that she is not a one book person. Contemporary backgrounds, conditioned by economical, emotional, psychological, and sociological influences, from the jobless to the children of the rich. The writing is alive -- the effect one of sharp but compassionate observation. The last chapter of The Unpossessed is here reprinted as a short story.
