KIRKUS REVIEW

Midsummer Night in a German town and the dead arise and play hob with the living. In the same vein as last year's Under the Linden -- again a grown-up fairy tale. This seems, however, to have a somewhat wider appeal though, in any case, the adult caring for fantasy is not easily found.
