BUILDERS OF AMERICA

Eight biographies which round out the beginnings of the United States and give a feeling of the impress of the men's achievements, underlining the inheritance of liberty which stemmed from them. Starting with Columbus, and ending with John Paul Jones, the lives of John Smith, Henry Hudson, Roger Williams, La Salle, William Penn, and George Washington and others are explored. A composite panorama in terms of men, individual enterprises and individual exploits which were basic to our national history.
