KIRKUS REVIEW

Findhorn, located in the north of Scotland, is the community where they grow 40-pound cabbages and huge lush strawberries in a soil that's little more than sand and gravel. It's done with the help of the devas--they're something like elves--and the Landscape Angel who offer advice on manure, planting, cultivating. Photographed, designed and written by Peter, Eileen David and other members of the community which has been in existence since 1962. With a foreword by William Irwin Thompson who offers assurances that it's not a ""Crunchy Granola fantasy of 19th century American agrarian life.
