KIRKUS REVIEW

Pawnee was an Indian brave who lived with Bobby and wanted to do all the things that Indian braves would want to do. However, Pawnee was only eight inches high and everyone thought he was just a doll, except Bobby who knew better and had seen Pawnee smoke his pipe and use his hatchet and best of all ride a pony in the Wild West show. Fairy story kept on a real basis, although the Victorian setting may confuse a child used to good fantasy in a contemporary setting.
