CONCERT PITCH by Theodora Benson

London music halls form the background of this new novel by Theodora Benson, a very different theme for Facade, published by Morrow last year. Behind the scenes with stage folk has an unfailing appeal for many readers. This is a story told with a certain gusto and a note of authenticity. It is the story of an anomaly in the stage world, a marriage that was apparently permanent, until a twist of chance turned it topsy-turvy. A good story, though it seems to lack that quality that makes for reality and emotional appeal.
