KIRKUS REVIEW

Anne and Jeffrey McNeill operating at their best and against the family face-consciousness of the Rolets when an unidentified body is found, Judge Rolet suffers a stroke, and Jean, his daughter, is haunted by auditory hallucinations. Psycho-narcosis rids Jean of the sound of footsteps, gives Jeffrey some facts with which to solve the mystery. A Crime Club selection- if not up to strictest standards- at least pleasant.
