A NATURALIST IN CUBA by Thomas Barbour

A NATURALIST IN CUBA

By

Pub Date: Nov. 8th, 1945
Publisher: Little, Brown

The author of Naturalist At Large again presenting his work as a collector and investigator in a modest, mellow account, which has perhaps less personal appeal than the first and is more restricted in compass. Here is Cuba, where he spent several years, his first impressions, friends, tastes in food and wine; physique, customs, sports and education in brief. Then in more or less detail, he discusses various species of reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, betz, mammals -- ancient and modern -- their habitats, etc. Leisurely looking backward on a naturalist's experiences -- of largely scientific interest.
