KIRKUS REVIEW

Mr. Mulkeen is one of the gamier gamesmen and this begins when Clement Talbot dismembers and disposes of a body via bathtub and kitchen oven with a few stubborn residuals, ends with his last (?) trip in a coffin with a stiff, and in between views the activities of the Syndicate and its member Scataloggia Funeral Home from porcelain table to cement mausoleum with apparently an insider's view of the business. It all depends on your sense of humor -- think of it as a formaldehyde flip with ""His and Hearse"" cocktail napkins.
